Sydney McGinley
Sydney McGinley is a master pastelist who uses PanPastel Colors for her pastel paintings. Using pastel sticks in combination with PanPastel.

“I love to draw. My desire to integrate drawing and painting is a constant endeavor in each of my pieces. PanPastel allows me the freedom to use tools such as sponges to add to my mark making. With a sponge loaded with color I am able to make a swathe on the paper surface which can stand alone or become a layer to hold pencil or stick. The area can be fresh and alive with just the PanPastel alone. More layering is possible if desired.
Three dimensional areas can be built if PanPastel is applied thickly, much like Cezzane when he used graduated color, stroke next to stroke, to give form to his apples.
One of my favorite combinations is PanPastel and an eraser. I draw with the eraser exposing the bottom layer of pastel. The possibilities are endless, the more I use PanPastel, the more ideas spring forth. I am excited about the paintings to come.” - Sydney McGinley

Artist Q&A: Benjamin Ward
My grandfather was a painter, illustrator, and professor. I grew up sitting on his lap watching him draw. It fascinated me. I had an amazing (and patient, ha) art teacher in high school that nurtured my abilities and helped me create a portfolio that was awarded several scholarships to major art schools.
